Yesterday we covered the East Side so today it’s time to check out how many homes are for sale for $100,000 or less West of the River. Again, these are the homes listed with area brokerages and thus they show up on our MLS computer listing service. These are condo and single family listings. Let’s check it out:
Lakewood – 111
Rocky River – 49 (all are condos)
Westlake – 27 – (all but one is a condo; one is a home on Hall for $94,900)
Fairview – 18
Bay Village – 2 single family homes
North Olmsted – 64 (most but not all are condos)
Berea - 18
Middleburg Heights – 14 (all are condos)
Seven areas that make up the West Side of Cleveland – 375
For whatever reason, the numbers of new listings are down the past two weeks in Cleveland. I don’t know if this is a lull before another storm as far as foreclosure listings go…I’m thinking it may be. There is also a lack of the kind of listings my one client is looking for. But there is certainly not a lack of homes (375) to pick from. One of my client’s and I found a really nice colonial for $89k with a finished basement and extra sun room. Next week I will do a comparison of how many homes have sold during the first three months of this year and compare it to last year….Peace Out – 3C
Update: I stopped checking on my own months ago because Bill Callahan does such a diligent job for all of us. There were 327 foreclosures filed since March 1st in Cuyahoga County. That tells me there will soon be 327 more homes listed for sale. Keep reading his blog for weekly updates. Thanks Bill.
