I definitely don't think Katie's the one. I would much prefer Ann Curry. She's far more the serious newswoman, asks good questions in interviews, AND allows others to speak. She's not self-absorbed. Andrea Mitchell might be a good choice as well, especially with her background at the Whitehouse. However, it might be hard for her to listen to attacks on her husband. I certainly hope they don't go with Chris Matthews - he's WAY too partisan and likes too much to listen to himself talk. Margot I love that you provided the link – thank you. It would be easy to say that the guests reflect the hiring policies of the administrations and the voting policies of the voters. But in reality there are many women who could be guests but are not chosen. I’ll head to the site to give them my opinions!

Thanks for musing on this topic! I would like NBC News to seriously consider Gwen Ifill, Katie Couric, Andrea Mitchell or another woman and/or person of color. All five of the Sunday morning talk show hosts are Caucasian males. According to studies by Media Matters for America, the guests on the Sunday shows are overwhelming white and male. “Meet the Press” is the least diverse of them all. Three out of four guests on “Meet the Press” are Caucasian males.
