That is not good no matter how you look at it Bonnie! I have an ongoing squirrel nest every Spring in the eaves of my porch roof. I had carpenters out two yrs in a row and finally gave up. They have babies and leave afterwards. But it’s not as bad as your situation since the porch roof eaves don’t lead to the house in any way. I hope the traps work!

I’ve begun the battle against wildlife this week. I wish I had a resident hawk to get the squirrels that have taken up residence in the wall of my house. It’s a bit disconcerting to hear gnawing noises when I’m cooking dinner! Many pest control guys don’t do squirrels so we had to call around to several different ones. We now have traps. I’m not asking where they are going. When it comes to me or the squirrels . . . I can be a bit hawk-like myself!

Well, I was hoping to see your “chest-high” snow photo. But another photo of YOUR hawk is nice also. Guess he/she’s gotta eat as well.

BTW, my drive was plowed last night at 11:30 by my wonderful son-in-law who works for a landscape firm. He stopped by after they were done with all the commercial lots.

Sharon, it’s delightful to meet you! First, congrats on the college acceptance I bet your daughter is even happier than you are! Am I ever glad I found your site. I just copied your Amtrack widget to my site. As a frequent traveller of the three-C corridor I think that is one of the best ideas for helping to build up and boost Ohio business and residential growth.

I use to live in Cleveland and worked as a new home marketer for the HBA of Cleveland and also a regional marketer for the old Greater Cleveland Growth Association. We’re now a country away but still have family ties and visit as often as we can (hope to return sooner rather than later!).

Most importantly, we just received a college acceptance letter for my daughter the result of which means she’ll be attending school in Columbus (yaaay!!). If we had that train now not only would it make it convenient for our family to visit often, but for our friends who are also intrigued about Ohio (based on our rantings).

I’ll be donating and please let me know if there is anything else specific that I and others can do.
