Two Blogs You Shouldn’t Miss Reading

February 23rd, 2008 · No Comments

It’s been a delight to discover Jackie’s blog, Coming Back To Cleveland. She’s talented and a very good writer. I find myself connecting with her as she seems to have her heart in two places: New York City and Cleveland (I have a never ending soft spot in my heart for Washington, D.C., where I lived for 19 years, and the same soft spot for my hometown, Cleveland).  You can get an idea about who Jackie is and what I am talking about here by reading this post. Oh, and she tantalized me about a musician coming to town who sounds wonderful.  Hats off to Brewed Fresh Daily where I first discovered Jackie. This is why I love the blogosphere, it’s a never ending smorgasbord of discovery.

I’ve featured Bonnie Erickson before, she is truly one of the gifted ones. Here she muses eloquently about Knee Jerk Solutions when just maybe we should sometimes just be  accepting responsibility for our actions.  She covers a multitude of areas where this applies and where legislation is proposed to solve problems that may already have solutions. She Bonnie’s blog is one anyone should read who wants to see what transparency is really about (as opposed to people who just talk about it).

Peace Out -3C

Hey, Carole, my loyal reader. Thanks for the kind words. I almost didn’t publish that post because I was hoping I wasn’t being a “knee jerk” in writing it!

Bonnie, there is nothing knee jerk about your reaction. To me, trying to pass laws automatically without first exploring all options makes no sense to me. I firmly believe all new legislation on this matter should be local; but as you said, a POS (point of sale) in St. Paul would solve the problem, so there is no need for new legislation! Plz plz please keep us informed because certainly foreclosures and how banks handle sales afterwards are big issues here
