Touch and Go Fanzine and Why Be Something That You’re Not: Detroit Hardcore 1979-1985 – Dual Release with Tesco Vee’s Hate Police, Friday, July 16 – 7-9 pm

We are happy to host members of the legendary punk band Tesco Vee’s Hate Police (www.tescovee.com) for a signing of Touch and Go : The Complete Hardcore Punk Fanzine 1979-1983 and Why Be Something That You’re Not: Detroit Hardcore 1979-1985. Books will be available for purchase. The authors will be in store to meet and greet and then head off to play Now That’s Class afterward.

Art on Wheels :: Red, Yellow and Blue Interactive Book Launching, Saturday, July 17 – 2-4pm

Local non-profit Art on Wheels will be at the store this Saturday for what is sure to be a fun event for the whole family. Red, Yellow and Blue is one book in a series, written by Carolina Martin, M.Ed., Executive Director of Art on Wheels. (www.artonwheels.us) Martin and her illustrator have created a series of stories to teach about the basic elements of art. In this case, the focus is on the element of color.

Garden Courtyard Music Series Performances

Saturday night from 7:30-9:30 Dan Morris’s Back Porch Band will play some classic country and gospel and Sunday, July 18 classical guitarist Adam Sarata will play in our garden courtyard from 3-6pm as part of the Garden Courtyard Music Series. Grab a glass of wine and a book and unwind to some live music. All for FREE!!
