This time the focus was on Akron. Maureen McCabe has a great blog out of Columbus, she lived in Akron for a while, and she has some thoughtful things to say about the article and the City of Akron.
My question is, why has Akron not lost population since 1983 and we have?
The entire article from The Dispatch can be read here although I am linking to the Cleveland portion. I’m still contemplating what I have to say about it. Except that the article was much more interesting than most of the analysis/articles we see in the Pee Dee. What do you guys think?
Peace Out – 3C

No, Akron’s population has gone down (since 1950) as has every city in the seven, except Columbus.
The dots confuse me….. I have trouble with their statistics snapshots for some reason.
The article about Akron says they have not lost jobs since 1983. Sorry. I changed it on my site.

Carole, it was a very well-done series. And the main author, Joe Hallett, by the way, is a former Plain Dealer reporter.

Hiya John, so we lost a good reporter I guess! We still have a few, I just wish the entire paper was worthy !
