I’ve been watching them build Artemus Ward from the ground up and it’s been pretty darn exciting.
Monday you have an opportunity, whether you have children in school or not, to go see the two newest schools in Ward 20: R.G. Jones and Artemus Ward. :
BPDC, Councilman Martin J. Sweeney, and Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) encourage you to stop in at two neighborhood schools next week, RG Jones(K-8) and Artemus Ward (K-8), which are welcoming their students back “home” to their original location. Four opportunities area available for the community to view these, the latest neighborhood schools to come online. Read the flier for more information.

I’ve been watching the construction, too – also Garfield. I live over the line in Lakewood but went to Garfield as a child. I can’t view the flyer you referenced above. Can you share more info about the open houses? The school district website has no information that I see….

Hi Carol, I love the design of Garfield. I was told it’s basically complete but they need to wait until next year to get the students back in that school due to redistribution of teachers.
The flyer is still there but it’s a pdf file and maybe that is why it can’t be read by your computer; but, the open houses were at the end of January. You might have to wait for a concert or other school event to see these schools again.
I will check into it and see what I can find for you.
