I got really lucky today, the weather is gorgeous. The bright sun made it possible to not only wash windows but see that there were not any streaks in them before I moved on. Being in real estate has only one serious personal challenge and that is making time to do things, making sure I take at least some time off. Today is one of those days, for the most part anyway. (I had a guy leave me a phone message this morning: ‘we spoke on line a while ago, I’m in town but leaving later today can you show me _____’……..well jeez, if you came into town you must have known you were coming into town – don’t you think a little notice would have been nice?)  And no, I did not return his call. Yes, I am a Realtors® but I deserve a little courtesy no?

I use an electric lawn mower so now I am trying to decide if it’s 1) too wet to mow or 2) if I will electrocute myself if I do try to mow. My guess is that I will use the second excuse to wait another day :)

I’ve also taken breaks here and there to browse the web. Here is what I found in my search for cars that allow you to get at least 35 mpgh.  Then of course if you want to be completely amazed (and not in a good way), here is a story from yesterday’s PD about the Xebra car and how you can’t own it here. Seriously.

So far I’m only in the thinking stages on getting new bicycle tires so I can ride for the next four to six months. But I was browsing, and found a list of safety rules and regs by the Ohio Bicycle Federation. The Digest of Ohio Bicycle Traffic Laws  can be read here.

Washing windows is one of those cool projects that give us  instant gratification. I am computing down now to find another project. Laundry, cleaning, etc. They may not be as gratifying but there is plenty to do here.  I have not had an entire day off since Easter Sunday in March.  No wonder I’m happy!  Peace Out – 3C

One of the real downsides to this job is the ability to take a normal day off the way the rest of the world does. We work when clients do and when they don’t. Glad to hear you didn’t return the guy’s call. I doubt he would make such a call to his accountant, stock broker, dentist, etc.

My house is so in need of a day of good cleaning.

Elaine Reese’s last blog post..A SOUND movie of my listing near Hoover Reservoir, Galena

Our jobs are the same and so are our lives. I just got a tire fixed on my bike but have not had a chance to take it out yet. I was going to take a day off last week but it kind of got ruined by a client who had to have his home listed immediately. I was so proud of myself yesterday I actually managed to wash some lace curtains and hang them on the line to dry. Couldn’t wait to get them back on the windows to hide the streaks. :)

Elaine it’s not even about balance anymore, remember all those AR discussions about having balance? I don’t even care about that now just an occaisional day off lol

T omg you made me laugh I needed that today! You can wash the windows in the Fall….maybe :-) We’ll see who gets to ride their bike first!
