I did this a few times last year; thought you might like to know what is going on in real estate in all of NE Ohio (well, everything that shows up on our computer listing service because it’s listed by brokerages and listed with NORMLS/TEMPO). This information covers real estate info for the following counties: Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Medina. These are stats for January ’08 and I’m comparing them to ’07 stats:
7, 376 new listings in 2008 (there were 7,504 listed in ’07)
1,373 home sales in 2008 (there were 1,584 sales in ’07)
Average selling price in January 2008 was $126,213
Average selling price in January 2007 was $145,866
Average days homes were on the market in Jan ’08 was 101
Average days homes were on the market in Jan ’07 was 95
So not a huge difference in numbers, except the average selling prices for each January; keep in mind, this is only one month of statistics though. Peace Out – 3C
