No the apple stand and my Grandparents orchard is now a luxury home complex. I do have an oil painting of it. I've always enjoyed buying fresh goodies from the truck farms back home. It's no wonder when I think how my Mom raised the family on them. Actually my parents met because my Mom worked her folks apple stand. She sold an apple to my Dad when he came home from WWII! Almost sounds Biblical... Actually my parents met because my Mom worked her folks apple stand. She sold an apple to my Dad when he came home from WWII!

When I was young, I remember the trips to northwestern OH to get cherries (both bing and sour) and to get bushels of peaches. Mom would then can them for the winter months. But the fresh peach pies she made were pure heaven. Or the peaches served over the homemade ice cream we often churned up.
