Well we do have water all around us don’t we? I was enjoying an end of the day Toad the Wet Sprocket song and clicking my stumbleupon icon to see what was new in the World. I wasn’t quite prepared for what I found at Sub-Find! I wish I could post a photo….I am emailing to ask if I can add one later, but you know, all rights reserved and all that.
Sub-Find offers submersible homes. They are sleek and open like clams when not submerged and look a bit like space ships to me. Inside they are all modern and gleaming. There is one called the Neptus 60 Cliff Habitat. Imagine the Space Needle in Seattle times three; the third portion is the portion of your home that is underwater. The other two are attached to the side of a cliff. It has three bedrooms, an observation area (that is the part that is underwater) and a small craft docking area. I can’t explain it well, just go here and see for yourself. Giancarlo Zema seems to be the force behind these creative marvels. He’s also created Lake Washington, a recreation and entertainment marvel. I don’t think I have used the word marvel three times in anything I’ve ever written before….this really fascinates me.
Prices are not listed, you know, like when you are at a restaurant and they say lobster is ‘market value?’
The one I love the best is called a Trilobus 65 Floating Home. It is the one that most resembles a clam but no clam ever really looked quite this good!
A tip of the hat to all this creativity, Mr. Zema. Peace Out – 3C

Those homes are “really COOL”! I like the cliffside one. Now I just need to find a BIG cliff.

Wow. I can just imagine taking reclining on the couch as I stare out the window at sea life swimming around me. What an experience that must be! I agree with Elaine – I need a nice cliff and I guess really good hiking boots and gear to get me in and out of my home in an eco-friendly fashion!
Carole I have a question for…hunting for your email…
