First, something that would be near and dear to my Dad’s heart, although he worked at Engine Plant #2. Ford has announced that Engine Plant #1 is finally opening and they hope to have over 200 workers employed and operating the Plant by September. The second item is not official but in the works. First we had a German Solar plant enticed here by Mayor Jackson and the City; now they are working on an Italian company called ONDA, based in Vincenza Italy (Lonigo). They are also exploring other areas, but Cleveland is ‘in the running.’ You can read about it in a Tom Breckenridge PD article just posted on their site.  ONDA is light industrial, they do heat transfer solutions work (related to refrigeration) so it does sound like a good fit for our area.  JD Rockefeller took oil by products to a new level back in the day and refrigeration companies were virtually born here in NE Ohio due to that fact. You can read a ONDA brochure here.  Peace Out – 3C
