How about a browse around the blogosphere? There were some posts I wanted to highlight from some of my favorite bloggers here in NE Ohio and from some other blogs.

 

First, a timely blog from Jill of  Writes Like She Talks. It’s about a project that works at bringing Palestinians and Israelis together; god knows we need more of that. It sounds like a fascinating and wonderful organization. And (yeay!) Jill is running for office in Pepper Pike, so check out her other posts too!

 

Next involves a guy who does such a fabulous job informing all of us about franchise ideas, what has worked, why some don’t, etc. Joel Libva features a frozen yogurt venture opening quite a few locations in New York.  Remember how popular frozen yogurt was in the 80s? Well, let’s put it this way, they were in the DC area where I lived at the time, I imagine here too? Been hearing a lot of rumblings about this type of venture lately so it sounds like it’s time may have come again.  Check out The Franchise King blog about it.

 

Christine Bourne is a thoughtful local blogger who moved back here after enjoying a few years in New York City. Her entire blog is fabulous but here is a post with a twist.  She says why not write a really honest resume so employers will know exactly what they get?  Check it out here on her Really Bad Cleveland Accent blog.  I can identify with her point about scraps of paper everywhere lol!

 

Ever wonder how bands came up with their names? Check out this blog called Byte Me (interesting name in itself yes?) for info on how bands chose their names. 

 

Elaine Reese is a fab real estate agent in the Columbus area. This post deals with technology changes. You can get an idea of what is happening technology-wise in real estate from the trenches, so to speak.  Good stuff! she has a poll on her post asking how many people are thinking of eliminating their land lines.  I know I already have, and after I voted, I see that 50 % of those responding have as well. Go vote!
