A Perfect Storm: Cleveland Blogging Women, #1 Pho, Diane Rehm and Trinity Cathedral

November 2nd, 2007 · 1 Comment

An opportunity to meet fellow Cleveland bloggers! My first was Tuesday evening, in conjunction with Diane Rehm of NPR Radio fame coming to town. She spoke and answered questions at Trinity Cathedral - and btw, they had to turn people away, there were hundreds upon hundreds in attendance. That was fabulous! Wendy of Creative Ink , Lori of Virtual Lori, and I broke bread (and met each other for the first time) at #1 Pho, a flavorful Vietnamese restaurant at 31st and Superior. The food was fabulous (Wendy and I had curried noodles, tofu and veggies and I wish I had more tonight).  It was delightful to learn a bit about these creative women and spend time with them.

Later at Trinity Church, Jill of Writes Like She Talks joined us for Diane Rehm.  Diane’s message was so important and most of that message revolved around the art of listening. Sounds simple but of course it’s not.  Her premise is that by listening we could solve so many problems: familial, neighbor-to-neighbor-colleague-to-colleague, and of course country to country.  The entire event was made so much more special for me because Lori, Wendy and Jill were there. What a tremendous benefit of blogging: meeting other people who care so much about our area.

Manager Mark and my colleague Veronika were there as well. Were you there? What inspired you about Diane Rehm’s discussion? I’d love to hear what you took away from the event.

And thank you ladies, it was a special evening for me. Peace Out - 3C
