Today was so beautiful wasn’t it? I love the heat and humidity nature gave us – and it helped me as I drove to a few listings and took updated photos, met a renter at a home I had listed that now won’t have to be lonely anymore…she’s going to rent! I also have two happy buyer clients; one young woman got the home of her dreams (we got an accepted contract today from the seller) – someone else tried to buy it (we had written an offer two hours after we saw it but it was too late). Then that deal did not work out and we were able to re-present our offer. My second clients are artists who fell in love with a home with lots of old world character in the West Blvd. area; they are looking forward to many happy years there. I love it when first time home buyers smile!
As I drove back towards Ohio City to take more photos, I thought of The Cleveland Clinic and how they are building like crazy in Fairfax and spurring jobs to boot. It hit me that it would be fantastic if Metro Hospital could do the same for the near west side. That got me back to Crain’s Cleveland this week and an article that talked about Cuyahoga Falls, Stowe and Hudson working on luring a hospital there.
W. 25th doesn’t have to lure a hospital. And we have Metro Lofts apartments and a few other places to represent new construction housing projects in the area. I may have to talk to the Clark Metro CDC and find out if anything is in the works. As Vickie Eaton said at a Levine College forum a few months ago, the behemoth or gorilla (Cleveland Clinic) realized they needed to be a part of the community growth and not just their own growth. Metro Hospital is highly rated and wouldn’t it be wonderful if something could be worked out in the surrounding community? Any ideas? Or am I missing any projects in the works? Let me know….
Okay it’s still beautiful outside, happy TGIF everyone. Peace Out – 3C
