Charter Review Committee Comes To Gunning -Go And Share Your Thoughts

June 24th, 2008 · No Comments

Okay, most of you (I hope!) are following the progression of this years Cleveland Charter Review process on Callahan’s Diary. Not only is Bill doing a great job providing information on the process, he is a commission member. Every 20 years there is a review and it’s that time…in fact, time is waning.

Tonight (and thank you Rachel Napolitano of Bellaire Puritas for sending this out to remind me) they bring the Review to Gunning Recreation Center.  This is Rachel’s (or BPDC’s) announcement about it:

City Charter Review Commission is coming to Gunning Recreation Center (16700 Parkmount) tonight, Tuesday, June 24th, from 6:30pm-8:30pm.

According to their [Charter Review Committee's] announcement, “commission members, by August 1, 2008, are to make recommendations for proposed changes to the City Charter, which are reviewed by Council. Those that are approved are placed before the voters on November 4, 2008.”  This is your opportunity to suggest changes to the City Charter, which is the City’s governing document.

Gunning Recreation Center can be reached easily by heading West on Puritas towards North Olmsted. When you get to the W. 165th start looking for Gunning on your right. Although I am sure most of you know where it is!

Peace Out – 3C
